Healing
begins with
hope.

When abuse has touched your life, or the life of someone you love, the way forward can be hard to see. Journey of Hope is a faith-centered nonprofit that walks alongside individuals and families seeking support, healing, restoration, and a safer future.

You are not alone.

You are not alone —
and the past does not
define the future.

Abuse can affect every part of a person’s life — their sense of safety, relationships, confidence, faith, and ability to imagine a better future. Journey of Hope exists to remind every person affected by abuse that healing is possible.

We walk alongside women, men, teens, and families who are seeking compassionate support, practical resources, and encouragement for the journey ahead. No matter where you are in your journey, you deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and care.

Our Mission

Journey of Hope is a nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness of abuse and helping individuals affected by abuse pursue hope, restoration, and healing — through life studies, support programs, education, prevention efforts, and community partnerships that help interrupt the ongoing cycle of abuse.

Our Vision

We envision communities where abuse is no longer hidden, people can seek help without shame, survivors have access to trustworthy support, and families can build healthier futures — brought together by faith leaders, educators, advocates, service providers, donors, and volunteers.

Our founder

Ava’s journey

Journey of Hope was founded by Ava Smith, whose own life journey has shaped a deep commitment to serving people affected by abuse. Through faith, personal healing, service, and a desire to help others, Ava developed the vision for an organization that would offer hope, restoration, education, and practical support.

Her message is simple: your past may be part of your story, but it does not have to determine your future.

— Ava
